This furniture factory mainly produces KD steel and wood furniture, but its product quality check is at low level, mainly using low price to attract customers, the price is very competitive among the peers in the region. When we represented the Brazilian customer went to the factory for the first product quality check We had a special, even “Surprise” experience that we discovered all the common quality problems in a furniture factory. The following is the actual quality problem finding wrote down on Inspection Report that CLI made product quality check for simple folding desk in the factory for the first inspection.
During the on-site inspection, the factory sent labour workers to cooperate with the CLI inspector’s product quality check. after the inspection, CLI technical inspector would communicate with the factory in time for any product defects found and give suggestions for improvement of the product process. Facts have proved that the factory has made continuous improvement in the product process after CLI made many efforts to quality improvement suggestions with the factory. CLI inspection found that the product of the latest single computer desk order has significantly improved from the flatness of PVC on the desktop to the electroplating process of iron pipes, and the overall defects of the product are significantly less than those of the previous single product.
The following is comments remarked on inspection reports for the batch quality problem during the latest product quality check in the factory.
Among them, the redundant edge of the black plastic footpad has not been found, and the misalignment of the iron pipe connection has also been significantly improved. However, the inclination of the connection position between the iron pipe and the table top, the wood dust residue on the screw and the white pollution mark are all caused by human factors, so the factory can further improve the product if the manual cleaning process is added before packaging.
After analyzing the product quality check results many times, the overall quality of the product this time is really much better!
In addition, during the visit to the factory, CLI found that the processing technology of iron pipes manufactured by the factory has been improved obviously, in which a model tool has been added to the welding technology of iron pipes to fix the connection positions between the iron pipes and then weld them, greatly reducing the defect of misalignment of the iron pipes. And after welding, the weld bead of the weld joint is manually polished to further improve the appearance of the iron pipe.
